Global Tutors is in the
final planning stages
of putting together an
after-school Saturday
enrichment program
for ACT prep at Old
Redford Academy, in
Southfield, Michigan.
We are following up
this program with a
summer school pro-
gram (the ver y first
summer school pro-
gram that GT is do-
ing). Old Redford
Academy is one of the
longest running part-
ners with Global Tu-
tors. Old Redford
Academy Elemen-
tary, Old Redford
Academy Middle,
and Old Redford
Academy Prepara-
tory High have
made AYP for the
2008-2009 school
students. We are cur-
rently tutoring in the
subjects of English
and math, utilizing
some of our best tu-
tors here and overseas.
In May, 2009, Global
Tutors partnered with
Treasure Village
Montessori Charter
School in the Florida
Keys, Florida, serving
grades K-8. In addi-
tion to setting up tu-
toring for grades 3-8,
we will also be offer-
ing parent workshops
and after school pro-
grams for the students.
In October of 2009,
Global Tutors began a
four and a half month
tutoring program with
advanced students at
Treasure Village
Montessori, for 5th,
6th, 7th and 8th grad-
ers who are advanced
